Happy anniversary to me!
I have officially been in London for one month.
I think that time feels about right. Sometimes I feel like I've been here forever. Other times it feels like I just got here. When the end of December rolls around, I think it will be perfect because I'll miss it but I'm sure I'll be ready to go home!
Just for fun, to commemorate the occasion, I'm going to make a list of things I miss and the things I'm glad I now have.
I miss -
Daddy
Mommy
Skitch, Jewels, Midge, Mev, Cindy Lou-Who and The Brat
My wife
Sandra
Having my laundry done for me
Driving
Access to my closet (and Amy's, and Julie's)
Gum with flavour
Walks with Mommy
Hugs
My bed
Having 5 pillows on my bed
Cleanliness
Living in the country
Fresh air
Having more sunshine than rain
Dishwasher-cleaned dishes
The USD $$$
Things that make me love England --
Accents
Boys with accents
Boys with accents in suits
The culture
How people are comfortable with themselves
The crazy things people wear
How it doesn't matter what you wear or if you match because you're still in style AND NO ONE CARES.
Sweater dresses and leggings
Castles
The tube
Relaxed workplaces
Pubs
Patisseries (Bakery shops)
The words brilliant, cheeky, snog, loo, vile cesspot, bloody, mind the gap
It's not Missouri
Okay, that's all I can think of. And thanks to Matt, who kindly pointed out to me that Leeds Castle is not actually in the town of Leeds (approx 4000 miles away) but is rather in the VILLAGE of Leeds (40 miles away, roughly). Bloody confusing Brits.
